Mind of a DancerWaiting and waiting and waiting…why won’t it just start? I’d much rather it just happen. Music…it’s so familiar….but then of course, I’ve been practicing to it for a year now. It’d probably be bad if I didn’t know the music by now. Ah! I’m daydreaming again…Pirouette, demi-plie, chasse, pas-de-bouree…hmm I wonder how it’s going. Waiting, waiting waiting…where’s my cue?! I can just hear the music above the clunking of the pointe shoes. My god they’re loud. Eight more counts of music. Need to fix up my costume…stupid thing’s riding up again…Heart begins to pound faster…butterflies in my stomach…butterfly…flutterby…three counts. Ok ready.Mind of a Dancer
